OPERATION
While running, MM flashes the hours
for 2 seconds every 10 seconds. MM displays constantly for 1
minute at start-up, and 2 minutes at power-down.
MM also records the installation date (yyyy/dd/mm) when run
the first time for more than 3 minutes. This date is then stored
and displayed quickly at every start-up, before the unit reverts
to displaying hours. This feature is particularly useful for:
| |
A new buyer purchasing a second-hand
machine. It tells them when the MM was fitted, and thus
provides a reference for the hours displayed. |
| |
Repair shops that have performed
maintenance work on a bike. It provides a warranty check
date for the work done, if the MM was fitted at the same
time. If the MM was already fitted then the service work
can be referenced to the hours displayed. Most shops we
deal with are fitting a MM on every new machine sold. |
